SoundID Reference plugin does not show up in DAW

If the SoundID Reference plugin is not showing up in your DAW, this guide outlines steps on how to resolve the issue.

Plugin not showing in DAW

If you can't see the SoundID Reference DAW plugin, this can be caused by a variety of reasons. Please try the following:

  • Relaunch your DAW
  • Rescan your DAW's plug-in list
  • Restart your computer
  • Make sure it's loaded on a stereo channel, as it won't show up on a mono channel
  • Verify that the plugin is not on your DAWs blacklist
  • Make sure that your DAW is scanning the correct locations for your plug-ins

    Note:
    Remember that you can choose custom plugin installation folders by pressing Customize during installation. By default, SoundID Reference plug-ins will be installed in the directories, as shown below.

NOTE: SoundID Reference supports VST2, VST3, AAX, and AU (macOS) plug-in formats
