A corrupted microphone calibration profile
Depending on different factors a microphone calibration profile might get corrupted. In such a case, it will give an error upon opening the Measure app and entering the microphone calibration ID, stating "Microphone calibration profile download error". This error pops up because the profile is initially not recognized.
Resolution
When encountering this error pop-up, there is a simple resolution available to overcome it. Follow the below steps.
- Access the following folder:
macOS: HD/Users/your username/Library/Application Support/Sonarworks/SoundID Reference/Measure/micprofiles
Windows: C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\Sonarworks\SoundID Reference\Measure\micprofiles
- Delete the mic profile from the 'micprofiles' folder
- Launch Measure
- Input your mic ID
- Proceed with the measurement process
