Sound ID Crashing Cubase and can't reinstall

Hi,

I havn't used my studio PC for a week or so over the Christmas period. Sound ID was working fine before Christmas. Turned my PC on today and loading the Sound ID plugin in Cubase would cause it to crash. Tried multiple times and with restarts etc. Also the desktop Sound ID was not loading either. Uninstalled it as it had not been updated for a long time and now I can't reinstall it at all. The installer just vanishes/does nothing.

I've gone through the basics in this articale (uninstalling 2015-2022 C++ redists, admin etc etc) and no change.

Any help would be appreciate as I've become quite reliant on Sound ID! Not sure why it's just completely stopped working for no reason as no changes have been made to my PC, unless some Windows background update happened perhaps.

Hi Acle Kahney, sorry to hear you encountered an issue!

I noticed you also submitted a support request, but it looks like you were able to resolve the issue already - deleting the Sonarworks folder in AppData seemed to help with getting this sorted.
In case anyone else is encountering a similar issue, feel free to check out our uninstallation guide for the full uninstall steps, see here: How to uninstall SoundID Reference? [WIN]

I hope the problem with Cubase crashing when loading the SoundID Reference plugin is also resolved, but if something still persists, please let us know.
