Delete Sound Profile/ Project Files.

Within the Sonarworks Project Folder, I have my Headphone files and old Project Files from my past calibration which I no longer use. How do I permanently delete them? Because every time I start up SoundID, the files keep coming back. I'm on Windows 11 and the same thing is happening on my Mac too. I create many Project files as my environment keeps changing and I do not want the list to build up over time. Thanks.

Hi marcus.ammu, thanks for reaching out!

You would have to delete the profiles from the Sonarworks Projects folder (here's how to find it: Where can I find my speaker profile?), but there is also a backup folder of the Sonarworks Projects that you will want to check out and delete the profiles you no longer need. The Backup folder is located in the Sonarworks directory → SoundID Reference → Backup → Sonarworks Projects - here delete the files you no longer need.

Here are the paths for both macOS and Windows:

Macintosh HD/Users/your username/Library/Application Support/Sonarworks/SoundID Reference/Backup/Sonarworks Projects
C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\Sonarworks\SoundID Reference\Backup\Sonarworks Projects

(Note that the Sonarworks files are found under the hidden Library and AppData folders, to view these files, see our guide here: How to show hidden files on Mac and Windows?)

Deleting the unnecessary profiles in both the main Sonarworks Projects folder and the backup folder should then resolve the issue you are encountering.
