CPU Spikes with DAW plugin since the past coule of updates

I'm getting a CPU spike to 100% every 6 seconds or so in the DAW plugin. This just started with the last one or two updates.

Computer: 

Windows 7 i7, 32GB RAM, Nvidia RTX 3060, Fast SSD hard drives
Studio One Version 6.5

Is anyone else seeing this?

I've created a support ticket.

NOTE: It's a very quick spike - like a fraction of a second.

Hi Gavin Steiner, thanks for your post, sorry to hear you are encountering an issue.

There are a few things to try for this to see if the issue persists:

  1. Lower the sample rate in your DAW
  2. Increase the audio buffer size in your DAW/audio interface
  3. Does the issue happen also in a blank project only with the SoundID Reference plugin loaded?
  4. Does clearing the plugin config data make any difference? See our guide here: Deleting the config file in SoundID Reference DAW plugin (this will reset the plugin to its default settings)
