upgrade from sonarwork to sound id reference does not work

Good morning,

A few weeks ago, I made the update for Sound ID. I tried to install the program and followed all the guidelines posted, but I can't get the program to work. I keep using Sonarworks, and I hope a solution can be found.

I have also tried uninstalling Sonarworks and installing Sound ID, but the problem continues.

I am waiting for your feedback.

Regards.

Hi John Mucha, thanks for your post, sorry to hear you are running into some trouble.

Could you please provide more details on what is not working with SoundID Reference? Is there an issue with launching the app, applying the calibration, or not hearing any sound when the app is running, or is a different issue present? If you can add some additional details, it would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Installer needs to download - It immediately reports “failed” 0mb/??

Hi hogbob, sorry to hear you are encountering an issue with the installer. I can recommend checking out our installation issues guides for some common troubleshooting tips, see below (depending on what OS you have):
Installation issues on macOS
Installation issues on Windows

If the problem still persists, if you have another network available, even a hotspot connection would suffice, please try connecting to it and run the installer again, check if the same issue still persists.

Let us know how it goes!

I appreciate your response. The challenge lies in the sound ID reference output, which isn't applying any corrections. Despite following guides and reinstalling multiple times, the issue persists. For now, I'm using the Sonarworks correction, which functions without any problems.

Hi John Mucha, thanks for the update, sorry to hear that some issues stil persist.

To check off some basic stuff, can you let us know if you see signal passing through (VU meters jumping) the SoundID Reference app when you have it running, with an output device set up, and it has been selected as the system output and you have audio playing from a browser or a media player?

I will also open up a support request on your behalf, so we can gather some additional details and resolve this for you.
