Hi,
I would like to install SoundID reference (headphones) in my DAW but i do not find any vst file to put in my folder. What can I do ? And what should be the name of the file ?
Also, I only installed the older version of the program. It is impossible to install the new version. When I execute the file, it shows "failed" and "downloaded 0%"

Thank you for your help.

Hi marvin.dep, thanks for your post, sorry to hear there are some issues with the installation!

If you installed the 5.1.1.64 version of SoundID Reference, it only contains the standalone app, the plugins as well as the Measure app (for speakers) are not included.

Regarding the issue with the installation you've mentioned - can you let us know what OS you are using? Have you had SoundID Reference installed before at some point?

Best regards,
Zane

Hi folks

I'm also using the Headphones only version.  5.1.1.64     I'm sorry to hear it cant run as a plug in.  I'm happy to use the standalone version but I cant get it to respond. It sees my Focusrite audio device and I've picked my headphones from the list but when I play a song in my DAW the meters in SoundID are not moving. If I go to the various options in Transition Check such as Car, TV etc the sound doesn't change at all.  I don't think my DAW is sending any signal to SoundID.    I'm running Win10 by the way.      Thanks guys.

Hi Xave Ryan, thanks for your message!

Could you please let me know why you have opted for the 5.1.1.64 version of SoundID Reference? I would recommend installing the latest version to make sure you're up to date with features and the general software performance.

As for using the standalone app for your DAW, you would have to select SoundID Reference as the output device in your DAW. For example, this can be set up with the Virtual ASIO to ASIO driver in the app, see more details here: Setting up Virtual ASIO to ASIO driver in the SoundID Reference app [WIN]

Hi Zane.  Thanks for the reply and suggestions.

I actually thought that was the latest version as I I got it direct from the web site.   But I'll re-check.  I had a look in my DAW settings and SoundID is not listed.  Is this because I only have the headphone version?   I can't afford the full version that installs as a plug in.   I just noticed that Sound ID is actually working if I play a YouTube video or a bounced WAV, MP3 file etc.   Again is that because I only have the limited headphones version?  I'll recheck for a later version and check that link you sent.

Hi Xave Ryan,

Please download the SoundID Reference online installer from our download page here: https://www.sonarworks.com/soundid-reference/download Run the installer and this will install the latest public version of the software by default (v5.7.2.).

The plugins are also available with the SoundID Reference for Headphones version, so you won't have to make any additional purchases if you already have a license for SoundID Reference for Headphones.

If you had the 5.1.1.64 version installed, it does not contain the plugins, only the standalone app (not due to any license restrictions, only the standalone app was uploaded for the offline installer).

Best regards,
Zane
