Ableton - SoundID sound engine turns off after applying some plugins.

Hi guys lately i struggle with this issue : (Support page is giving me 404 errors so I might as well try my luck here)

When I put some plugins that load a bit longer for ex. on the master, then the sound engine ( output set to the SoundID) in Ableton turns off and switches to the default one. Weirdly after that happens I can also hear my internal laptop mic. At that moment it also turns off SoundID from being the default system output. I am using Sonarworks SoundID. Anybody has the same issue or experienced something similar ?

It does not happen with the default system output.

It was not an issue before, somehow lately it started to be one.

I would appreciate some help as the support page is just a 404 error.

Im on Monterey 12.6.8, Macbook Pro 2015 mid max specs, Legacy Version of SoundID ( tried with the newest one also but to no avail), Ableton Live 12.2.10 - also tried with 13.3.4 but it did not change anything.

Hi,

Thanks for your post!

Very sorry about encountering some issues with our help center - we're in the middle of making updates to it and have encountered some issues which we're already successfully resolving. Browsing the help center should be possible now without encountering major issues (but some disruptions may still be observed). Hopefully, we'll have this up and running perfectly very soon!

As for the trouble you have mentioned - sorry to hear about this! As you noted you are on macOS, we have recently released a new beta version which includes quite a major macOS driver rework. I can recommend trying out the beta and observing whether the problems still persist. For more details, see our community post here: [NEW BETA] macOS driver update beta testing (SoundID Reference beta version 5.7.3.)

Let us know how that goes!

Best regards,
Zane

Hi Zane,

unfortunately I cannot download the beta, as the link to the download page from what you have sent me gives me the 404 error page. Its the same with any other link in that thread. Is there a possibility you send me a direct link to that beta file ? And could you send me the steps on how to fully uninstall SoundID so I can do a clean install ?

I hope you can help me :)
