While the plugin version works perfectly well within Logic Pro X, the standalone app is a mess here. It simply doesn't play well with the other kids in my computer. A few examples:
1. Launching Logic Pro X makes SoundID crash. (That's a new one here and was introduced with Logic 10.7.8).
2. When using the Vox player SoundID suddenly crashes after a while.
3. When playing Cities Skylines I always get that annoying "preset switch failed" error in SoundID.
I remember the good old days with Reference 4, when everything just worked.
My specs: Mac Studio Max M1, MacOS 12.5.1, latest SoundID Reference version

Wanted to follow up here on SoundID Reference crashing when launching Logic Pro X - make sure that you have updated to the latest SoundID Reference 5.8.0 version as this issue should be fixed for everyone now.

Regarding the crashes after sleep and the "Preset Switch Failed" error - these are known issues to us and our team is currently working on improvements for the macOS driver. While we're still working on the fixes, I recommend checking out our support guides for some tips and workarounds (some of them may need to be repeated once in a while):
