Exporting a calibration profile for Audient ORIA

How to export a SoundID Reference calibration profile for Audient ORIA interface integration.

Speaker measurements with Audient ORIA

The Audient ORIA integration with SoundID Reference requires the speakers to be remeasured, as there is an additional profile creation step needed during the speaker measurement process. Make sure to use the latest software updates:

• SoundID Reference
• Audient ORIA

When ready, follow the measurement steps below:

1. Launch the SoundID Reference Measure and Audient ORIA apps
2. Proceed to the Hardware Setup stage in Measure, and select Audient ORIA
3. Click on OKAY in the ORIA app to confirm you're entering Measurement Mode
4. Click on Next in Measure and proceed with the speaker measurements as usual

Direct transfer to Audient ORIA application

Once the measurement stage is complete and the calibration profile has been created, export the profile from the SoundID Reference standalone app, and import it to the Audient ORIA app directly. The exported EQ curve for each channel will be locked and cannot be modified once the export has been transferred to the Audient ORIA.

Launch the SoundID Reference standalone and Audient ORIA apps, and follow these steps:

1. Load your profile in SoundID Reference
2. Navigate to the preset in Output Panel, and click on '…' > Export > Audient ORIA
3. Select the Direct transfer to Audient ORIA application option 
4. Select one of the options to approve profile import in the ORIA app:
   
   • Create a new profile
   • Overwrite existing profile
5. Wait until the File exported successfully pop-up appears, and click on Done

Parametric file for manual import

The profile can also be exported as a parameter file in .bin format for manual import in the ORIA app. Follow these steps:

1. Load your profile in SoundID Reference
2. Navigate to the preset in Output Panel, and click on '…' > Export > Audient ORIA
3. Select the Parameter file for manual import option
4. Launch the Audient ORIA app and go to File > Import SoundID profile
5. Navigate to the exported .bin file, and click Open to import

The exported calibration profile will include the following information and DSP settings adjustments by default:

• Calibration
• Target Mode
• Dry/Wet
• Listening Spot
• Limit Controls
• Preset Name

The exported calibration profile will not include the following information (your target device may use its own processing solutions for these DSP features):

• Output Gain: the gain control will take place on the integration device
• Filter Type: processing will take place on the integration device, using its own filter solution
• Safe Headroom: the values are exported in the profile, but might be applied differently on different integration devices

Note: Make sure that Calibration is Enabled before exporting the profile so that Calibration and all DSP settings are successfully included in the export.
