Battery drain and high coreaudiod CPU usage on Mac OS 14.4.1

I recently got a new computer and it's been great other than using SoundID when I'm not at my desk.

I'm using a binned 14" M3 Max MacBook Pro and  my battery life has been incredibly bad when I'm away from my desk. I discovered that it's something to do with SoundID. When I quit the coreaudiod and SoundID reference.driver processes, my battery life goes from an avg of 4 hours to over 10!

It means I can't use SoundID Reference away from my desk which defeats the purpose of being able to mix on the go. I use the plugin in my DAW, but I have to choose between listening to music with the harshness of my headphones, or having poor battery life. 

I've tried disabling GPU acceleration in the settings but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.

Has anyone had similar issues?

I'm on v 5.10.0.54 and using MacOS Sonoma 14.4.1
