Missing tray icon

In this article, we'll talk about the invisible/missing tray icon on Windows and what workarounds are available. Despite the fact that we have fixed the initial issue where it was always invisible, the problem may remain in certain conditions. We are working on a permanent fix.

What are the conditions mentioned above?

The original issue was that the tray icon was completely missing/invisible for the users. The tray icon is now present upon software launch, but it will disappear when you're switching presets. If you remove the output, the tray icon will become available again.

Solution

To make the tray icon visible permanently, you can use this  workaround:

  1. Press Win key + R

  2. Type in "Regedit" and press enter (this will open Registry Editor)
  3. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

  4. Find and open Win8DpiScaling at the bottom and set the Value data to 1 and apply the changes.

  5. Restart your computer and now the tray icon will be visible at all times.
