If you've made a purchase for a software upgrade from the Sonarworks store, this guide provides details on where to find and how to register your upgrade code.
In this article:
- Upgrade codes
- How to find your upgrade code
- License details delivery email
- Registering your upgrade code
If you purchase Sonarworks software upgrade product directly from the Sonarworks Store, your license upgrade code (see the example below) will be delivered to the email address you provided at the purchase. For physical products from third-party sellers, oftentimes the code can be provided in the box physically.
A license upgrade code (different from a license activation key) is an 11-character code, and it is easily recognized from the "UPG-" in the first part of the code:
How to find your upgrade code
If you are struggling to find your code, you should be able to locate it easily by searching for keywords like Sonarworks licenses, Sonarworks order, or Sonarworks Store in your email history.
If you haven't received your upgrade code within 5 min after completing the purchase, or if you're unable to find it, you can always contact our support team by submitting a support request and have the upgrade code resent to you.
IMPORTANT! If you have purchased your upgrade from a third-party seller, you will have to contact the seller for and lost license detail issues. Our support team will still be able to help in most cases, however, the responsibility of solving such issues is not with Sonarworks when it comes to third-party product sales.
License details delivery email
The email with your upgrade code should look like this:
Registering your upgrade code
To perform an upgrade will have to register the upgrade code in your user account. It is important that you have already registered the product you wish to upgrade beforehand (add activation key first, then apply the upgrade code). For instructions on how to upgrade your license, see our guide here: Sonarworks Product License: Registration, Upgrade, Management, and Removal
IMPORTANT! Purchasing or activating the software does not generate a user account automatically, and it also doesn't add your key to the account. If you're trying to log in and your email address is not being recognized, you likely haven't created a user account yet. Similarly, if you haven't manually added your license activation key to the account, it won't be present there.
