Installer stuck in a loop

We are aware of the issue when the SoundID Reference installer appears to complete the installation process, but when the 'Launch Reference' button is clicked, the installation process starts all over again.

The issue is affecting M-series computers only (Apple Silicon) and is caused by a driver component that requires Rosetta to be installed successfully. More details on this topic can be found here: SoundID Reference driver not running on M-Series process [MAC]

Solution

To resolve the issue, please install our latest release, version 5.7.3.17. 

 

If for any reason, the issue persists, try the following and let us know by submitting a support request below. Enable Rosetta translation on your M-series machine:

  1. Launch the Terminal app
  2. Copy-paste the following command in the Terminal window, and click Return to execute:
    softwareupdate --install-rosetta
  3. Type A in the Terminal window to agree to the terms and conditions, and press Return again:
    A
